My favourite skin-care products for happy, healthy skin

I have been really obsessed with buying skin-care products at the moment so I thought I'd do a different kinda post this week and tell you guys about my favourite bits. I'm just gonna say I most definitely do not have perfect skin and to be honest it's something I've been a bit conscious of for a while now as I tend to get breakouts even now and then. But who doesn't ay? So instead of moping about it I decided to go and buy a whole bunch of stuff from The Body Shop and try and sort it out the best I can - and I've got to say my skin has improved so much as a result! So here we have it, my current favourite skin-care products:
This Micellar water has been the saviour of my life. My skin is very sensitive and for ages I struggled to find a makeup remover that didn't leave my face stinging or itchy. But this ohhmmygoood I love it. It's super gentle it's like putting water on and it and smells a bit like cucumber. (It can be used to take off both eye and facial makeup so it's a money saver as well)

Both these products are cleanser type things so I either use one or the other. The left one is this really cool heat mask that I got free when I signed up to The Body Shop loyalty card. It's called the 'Warming Mineral Mask' and it basically opens your pores so that you can get a deeper clean - you just dampen your face then put this on and it heats up immediately.
The one on the right is called the 'Camomile sumptuous cleansing butter' and its so brilliant. I mean I could spend hours rubbing this stuff on my face. Several of my friends have tried it and we all love it, you simply slather it on your face (a little goes a long way) and rinse it off with a flannel or muslin cloth. My face afterwards is as soft as a babies bum.

Next up is this tea tree set. I have heard great things about tea tree skin products so I tried out this little three part set. I can't find the set online but it comes with a foaming face wash, skin clearing toner, and a skin clearing lotion. First you do the foaming wash, then sweep the toner over your face with a cotton pad, then the lotion thing. Tea tree tends to be a bit harsh on the skin but I have to say putting the lotion on at the end really soothes it and leaves my skin feeling all dewy and properly cleaned.

I forgot to take a close up picture of the moisturiser oops, but its the burgundy tub at the top. It's from the Vitamin E range and it's called 'Vitamin E Intense moisture cream'. I don't know about you guys but my skin gets so dry in the winter - especially my forehead which is weird but hey. This is really thick and I just put it on before I go to bed so I wake up all moisturised.

Ooh just another top tip that my friend and I both find really works - put a generous amount of sudocrem on any pimples before you go to bed. Rub it in a little but just leave it to sink in overnight. I find it really makes a difference in the morning not to mention the stunning snapchats conversations we have in the late hours of the night with Sudocrem lathered on our faces.

So there we have it, my new makeup-free skin. Not perfect but happy happy happy.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you thought of my first beauty post!
Lots of love,
Hannah

(P.S If you're looking for a detox tea that targets your skin I would thoroughly recommend Dr. Stuarts skin purify tea. It's such good value and I've found that it totally makes a difference. It tastes kinda like normal green tea)

JJDR jewellery

This bracelet is so much like the beautiful Celine ones from a while back (here) - thought it was so interesting and different from anything I've seen on the high street.

Jumper - Zara
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - Zara
Clutch - Zara
Rings - (similar) Urban Outfitters
Fake Nose ring - Urban Outfitters
Necklace - (Similar) Urban Outfitters
Pearl bracelet - ℅  JJDR
Cuff bracelet - ℅  JJDR
'Barbell bracelet' - ℅ JDDR
Ear cuffs - JJDR

The lovely Jen at JJDR sent me some beautiful pieces of jewellery earlier this week and I haven't taken them off since! They specialise in modern and minimalistic jewellery so they go with everything and are so beautifully simple (and reasonable too).  I picked pearl items because I reckon pearls are subtly sneaking back in and they really remind me of the jewellery Vanessa Hong from 'The Haute Pursuit' wears here - and I am such a big fan of her blog.

I wanted to wear a relatively simple everyday sorta outfit to show off the jewellery a bit more so I wore my sale Zara jumper with matching zara boots (now £12.99 in the sale!)

Lots of love,

Turtle neck obsessed and BLOG NAME CHANGE!

Turtle neck - ASOS
Skirt - Topshop
Jacket - Topshop
Bag - Zara
Necklace - H&M

This is just an outfit I wore to London before Christmas that I thought I'd do a quick post about. I've blogged this skirt before but I just love the colour combination with this khaki roll neck I'm obsessed with at the moment!
I got this bag while I was in London and had to start using it straight away, it has so much space and is just a bit different to the usual handbag. I'm sure it'll be featured on here a lot more!

ALSO, I want to announce my new blog name of 'My Style Sector'! I have been thinking about changing the name for a while as I want to build a brand that leaves me with a larger choice of clothes to wear - for example sometimes I want to invest in a more expensive piece and I want to be able to share it without being worried able fitting in with the name 'thrifty shopper'. Hope you like the new name! So you can now find me at 'www.mystylesector.blogspot.com'

Lots of love,

New Years Eve = Sorted.

Trying to find the perfect dress for a New Years Party can be a bit of a struggle, so I have made things a bit easier for you and compiled a bunch of my favourite dresses perfect for New years! If you like any of the items I picked simply click on the picture and and it should send you directly to it on the website. Be prepared for a whole lotta sparkles...

I have this dress and it is so amazing for the price - only £9.99!! There is a picture of me wearing this on my Instagram (link to my insta in the 'follow' drop down tab) but I would recommend sizing down as it came up a bit big on me in my usual size.

Hope you like my New Years picks and hopefully I helped someone out in finding the perfect New years outfit

Hope everyone had a fab christmas and I wish you all a happy New Year!
Lots of love and happy shopping,
Hannah
